Two lakh Seemandhra Govt Teachers to stop strike

Over two lakh government teachers in Seemandhra have decided to stop their anti-Telangana strike by month end.

The district conveners from 13 Seemandhra districts are meeting today and announce this.

Seemandhra teachers say they have decided to stop the strike keeping the future of their students in mind. The strike has reached 37th day and has not had any impact on the Telangana decision.

These teachers are also facing severe financial hardships. They have already lost the August month wages and in a couple of days, they are going to lose September salaries too.

The teachers fear that if they continue the strike till October 4th, when the Dasara holidays start, they might lose another month’s salary.

If the teachers come out of strike, it is only a matter of days before APSRTC and other Seemandhra government employees also stop the strike.
