TSPSC to make application process hassle-free

By: R. Ravikanth Reddy

Upload your details once and escape from the cumbersome application process of the recruitment tests to be conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) in the next few years.

The TSPSC, which is re-designing its administration process, will put in place a system where a job aspirant needs to register and submit applications of various recruitments online using the same data. Based on the information uploaded, the TSPSC will send SMS alerts to all eligible candidates after every notification. Application forms will also be emailed. These features have been included in the website, which will be launched soon. “This will eliminate the procedure of buying applications and submitting them for every exam apart from the expenses incurred,” a senior official of TSPSC, pleading anonymity, said. The website launch has been deferred due to the election code.

Officials said the submitted personal data will be validated with Aadhaar card and a 10-digit unique number will be generated for every candidate, which can be used for submitting applications of any exam to be conducted by TSPSC.

“The idea is to extensively use IT for our convenience and reduce the financial burden on candidates,” the official explained.

TSPSC is also considering conducting its recruitment exams online.

Plugging loopholes

A team that recently visited Kerala and will submit its report in a couple of days is planning to suggest this to plug loopholes, apart from expediting the process. The team has found that Kerala doesn’t have any employment exchanges in its districts but only Kerala Public Service Commission (KSPC) branches where candidates can register directly.
