Telangana government wants the Centre to confer Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award on late Prime Minister and ‘Telangana Bidda’ PV Narasimha Rao. It is learnt that the Telangana government has sent a proposal to the Centre in this regard. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, at the birthday celebrations of PV recently, demanded that the Centre should confer Bharat Ratna on PV. He said that if necessary, the State cabinet too would adopt a resolution and send it to the Centre.
