TRS will not stop till it achieves what it promised: KCR

By: V V Balakrishna

Wooing both the settlers and native Hyderabadis, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday appealed to voters to vote for the TRS to witness rapid development.

Addressing an election meeting at the Parade Grounds here on Saturday, Rao said: “TRS achieved Telangana state. Launched 190 welfare schemes. TRS will not stop till it achieves what it promised. We want to make Hyderabad an international city on the lines of Dallas in US,” Rao said while explaining the need of TRS winning in the GHMC polls.

“The TRS is the ruling party. If the party captures GHMC, then the state and the civic body will work hand in hand and the city will witness massive development,” Rao said. He received good response from the crowd, which included large number of women, Muslims and settlers.
Besides development, Rao said TRS would provide corruption-free administration in the GHMC too. “My aim is that without paying any money, ordinary citizens can get the services of civic body,” Rao said. “TRS is the only party that can deliver the goods. The residents of Hyderabad should think it before casting their vote. Be careful in choosing the right party,” Rao said.

He made it clear that the TDP, which was a ruling party in AP, cannot develop a city in Telangana where TRS was ruling.

Rao’s sarcastic comments on AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu too were received well by the audience.
“GHMC requires Rs.11,000 crore for improving drainage system. The city requires `12,000 crore more for segregating water and drainage pipelines. Can Naidu make it possible?” Rao said. “The TDP and BJP are responsible for seven mandals of Khammam district going to AP. Can they develop Hyderabad?” Rao wondered.

Holding Congress, TDP and BJP responsible for the underdevelopment of Hyderabad, the chief minister assured that only the TRS could implement its developmental plans. “Naidu declared that he would stay in Hyderabad. Will he accept it if I want to stay in Amaravati?” Rao said. Making a mockery of Naidu leaving a mark on Hyderabad, Rao said Naidu left his mark by killing four persons in police firing at Basheerbagh and making the police cane anganwadi workers indiscriminately right in front of the Assembly.
