A group of state ministers and TRS MPs, who went to Delhi for clarification on monsoon grain procurement, met Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday. The meeting, which lasted for about 45 minutes, discussed the issue of procurement of grain and demanded that the Central Government give a written assurance on procurement of grain. Responding to the proposal, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “We will give clarity in two days.” Until then, MPs and ministers have said they will fight uncompromisingly on the issue of farmers. He said that KCR was the only CM who cared for the farmers in all possible ways and was deliberately showing stubbornness to the state. Ministers Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, Vemula Prashant Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Gangula Kamalakar along with MPs K. Keshavarao, Nama Nageswararao, Dr. Ranjit Reddy participated.
