The Jala Sadhana Deeksha taken up by TRS party at Yellampally project, under the leadership of local MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana evoked good response from local public. The deeksha was conducted with a demand to provide drinking water and irrigation water to Ramagundam constituency from Yellampally project. Thousands of people from neighboring villages attended the deeksha.
TRS MLAs Eetela Rajendar, Harish Rao, Gangula Kamalakar, MP vivek, Ex MP Vinod Kumar MLCs Sudhakar Reddy, Swami Goud attended the deeksha.
Speaking at the deeksha, Harish Rao criticized the state government for ignoring the drinking water and irrigation needs of locals and transporting water to far off locations.
“While the locals have sacrificed their lands and livelihoods, the state government is ignoring their basic needs” said Harish Rao.
