TRS cadre throng temples on CM KCR birthday

Wishing a long and happy life for the chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao on his birthday eve, the leaders across the state thronged the temples offering prayers.

They took part in various charity programmes and blood donation camps all over.

In Hanamkonda, the government chief whip and MLA D Vinay Bhaskar went out in midnight distributing blankets to the destitute sleeping on pavements and public places. He later went to various temples and took part in special prayers.

Warangal district TRS president and MLA Aruri Ramesh performed special prayers for the health and wealth of Mr KCR at Sri Ramalingeswara temple and took part in a blood donation camp.

People from different sections remembered Mr KCR and how he helped them in their lives. For instance, priest Padmachari of Nalgonda district overseeing the Sivalayam said it was very difficult for him to maintain the temple with just one or two thousand offered by devotees. Since Mr KCR introduced `Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam’ scheme, he is getting Rs 6,000 per month that is meeting his expenses at the temple and his home. “It is because of Mr KCR the Brahmin community got some recognition in the society. Otherwise, they are most discriminated and neglected in the past,” he said.

Kola Supriya of Katkoor village in Bachannapet mandal of Jangaon district described Mr KCR as the god of poor. “It is because of him my parents performed my marriage. My father is a toddy tapper and is worried about money for my marriage. Within one month of application, I got the cheque directly to my home and it was a great relief to my father,” she said.

Aasha worker Majula of Battapur village of Ergatla mandal described the chief minister as the hope of the poor. It was because of him; they got recognition for their work and increased salaries. She said the government gave them free SIM cards and enabled them to perform better. “Our salary was only Rs 6,000 per month but it was raised to Rs 9,750 at once bringing much joy in our lives,” she said.

Many priests across the state feel that Mr KCR is born for a reason, the reason to bring happiness in the lives of the people of Telangana.
