Much before many places in the country, the Telangana region had its own railway, postal, telegraph network, airport, electricity supply, to name a few. Decades down the line, after the formation of a separate state, Telangana now boasts of having many firsts to its name. With pioneering interventions across sectors, Telangana is showing the way to the nation.
Be it welfare schemes or mammoth infrastructure projects or cutting-edge technological innovation ecosystems, Telangana is a torchbearer. One such unique facility, T-Works, is gearing up for inauguration on March 2 by minister KT Rama Rao. With T-Works, Telangana is now home to India’s largest prototyping facility.
Already a proven hub for IT and pharmaceuticals, Telangana is now nurturing the innovation ecosystem through initiatives such as T-Hub, We-Hub, Agri-Hub, Y-Hub and emerging as a hub for hubs. The latest addition is T-Works which is aimed at accelerating the journey of product innovation in the country and helping startups in prototyping.
Built in an area of 78,000 sq.fts, this multidisciplinary setup has over 200 tools and machines and the capacity will be increased by 10 times in one year. This one-of-its-kind initiative aims to create and celebrate a culture of hobbyists, makers, and innovators in India.
Unlike anywhere in the country, a state government is stepping up to create such unique facilities and thereby carving out a special place for Telangana on the global map.
