Hailing the Telangana government’s welfare programmes to the Goud and Ediga communities in Telangana, the Nadar community demanded the same measures in Tamil Nadu.
They said that the caste-based vocations were revived and to glory under the leadership of KCR in Telangana. They want similar leadership in Tamilnadu but in vain. For decades, the politicians in the state used them as a vote bank but did nothing.
Nadar foundation chairman Arnold Arasu, All India Nadar Sangham general secretary Muthu Ramesh, All India Tamil Nadu Nadar Sangham general secretary Balakrishnan, Tamil Nadu Nadar Sangham treasurer Gnan Gauthm Pandian, Tamil Nadu Nadar Sanghams’ coordinator Sashikanth and representatives of Nadar Sanghams of Maharashtra met Excise minister V Srinivas Goud.
While expressing happiness over the welfare measures of the community in Telangana, they expressed their desire that BRS leadership also focus on their respective states for their well-being.
They said they would soon convene a meeting of the Nadar community in Chennai and will invite Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao as chief guest.
