The central Jal Shakthi ministry gave technical clearance to three irrigation projects of Telangana state.
They are; Chanak -Korata in Adilabad district on Penganga River envisaging utilisation of 1.5 tmc of water; China Kaleshwaram (Mukteeswara) in Bhupalpally with 4.5 tmc of water utilisation of Godavari River water and Choutupalli Hanmanth Reddy lift irrigation project in Nizamabad district envisaging utilisation of one tmc of water.
The central technical advisory committee has recommended the ministry to give Techno economic clearance to these projects after going through the detailed project reports submitted by the Telangana government after three years of pursuance.
The projects cost Rs 368 crores, Rs 545.15 crore and Rs 48 crores respectively.
These add another feather in the cap of Telangana state.
They will bring more area under cultivation and benefit more farmers in the state.
This was another promise made by CM KCR and delivered to the people of Telangana.
