The municipal administration minister KCR said the eligible poor would get double bedroom houses by Sankranthi festival in January next.
He asked the officials to complete selection of all the eligible beneficiaries by that time.
The minister said those having their own plot would be given Rs Three lakh and the MLAs are already in the job of identifying the eligible people.
Minister KTR went on a surprise visit to his Sircilla constituency on Tuesday and held a review meeting on the development of the district.
On Mana Ooru Mana Badi programme, the minister said in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, there were only 200 residential schools but in separate Telangana, over 1,000 residential schools were established till date. The credit goes to the visionary chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. With his blessings, the Sircilla district now became an education hub. Now there are degree colleges, nursing and engineering colleges, an international driving school, and agriculture polytechnic college.
Minister KTR said the Telangana state witnessed development on all fronts during the last eight years.
