The Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple in Jagitial to get a facelift.

The famous Anjaneya Swamy temple on the Kondagattu hillocks is set to witness massive development very soon.

The state government has constructed a special water sump with Rs 4.5 crore under the Sircilla – Vemulawada – Choppandi Mission Bhagirath grid and pumping water up the hillocks.

The bathing ghat on the hillocks was renovated with Rs 2.5 crore and minister Mr Indrakaran Reddy launched the beautification of the step track above the temple with another Rs 2.5 crore.

This is one of the ancient temples and local lore thas that once ascetics from different countries used to do meditation in caves here which are still there to see.

The temple is located amid the lush green wild environs and draws lakhs of people around the year. It is a pleasant place drawing people in hordes. Especial at the Hanuman Deeksha team during Hanuman Jayanthi, the whole of the place wears saffron colour.

The old and famous temples are receiving good patronage from the state government a new precedent now. They were all neglected and lacked minimum maintenance except for the public patronage to some extent.

Many temples would witness the good transformation and are worth visiting henceforth.

One among the effects of a separate Telangana state indeed.
