As the Hyderabad Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in certain parts of the state due to the Asani cyclone, there could be rains in some districts.
Some parts might witness lightning, thunder and heavy gales.
According to the forecast, there could be heavy rain in Mancherial, Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Mulugu and other places on Wednesday.
The collectors erstwhile Warangal districts Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Hanamkonda and others have issued alerts to farmers to protect their harvested paddy and other agricultural produce from possible damage.
In recent times at many places paddy was damaged that was ready for procurement bringing great difficulty to farmers who were dreaming of fruit of their labour shortly.
The procurement officials were refusing to buy paddy if it is soaked or wet or sprouted.
The BJP leaders instead of influencing the centre to expedite paddy procurement, were demanding the Telangana government to save farmers that had been doing a lot already.
The farmers were left to their fate until again the chief minister Mr KCR decided to start paddy procurement centres and came to their rescue.
