The state government initiated steps to upgrade all district headquarters’ hospitals in the state on par with NIMS in Hyderabad. The government is also planning to make all teaching hospitals in the state to suit the norms of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).
For this, the Cabinet sub-committee comprising health minister C Laxma Reddy, IT minister KT Rama Rao and roads and buildings minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has decided to study the practices being implemented in the hospitals located in other states.
The cabinet sub-committee held a meeting at the Secretariat here on Thursday and discussed other issues like providing best medicare to patients in government hospitals, changes required in medical practices and use latest technology in medical field.
