Cutting across party lines and political ideologies, Telangana leaders and people condemned the Rayala Telangana nonsense being rumored by some Congress top bosses.
Telangana Rashtra Samithi, BJP, CPI and Telangana JAC, which are in the forefront of Telangana agitation unanimously rejected the Rayala Telangana proposal. TRS leaders Eetela Rajender, Harish Rao, KTR and Sravan Dasoju issued separate statements condemning this last-minute mischief by Congress party.
TJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram, also took serious objection to the Rayala Telangana idea. He opined that such leaks only prove that Congress is not sincere about Telangana formation.
BJP state President Kishan Reddy also came down heavily on Congress party for bringign forward this dead proposal into forefront at this crucial juncture.
Telangana NGOs, Telangana Journalist Forum, Telangana Students JAC, Telangana Medical JAC also severely opposed this proposal.
Telangana Lawyers JAC members staged a protest in front of Gandhi Bhavan, Congress headquarters, against the Rayala Telangana conspiracy.
Several Telangana Congress leaders also are opposing the RT idea at this stage. Fearing public anger, these Congress leaders feel that any move towards Rayala Telangana, would lead to total decimation of Congress party in Telangana region.
