Telangana is one among the top states in exports in the country. In 2021-22, the state exported Rs 2.65 lakh crore worth medicines and organic chemicals.
About 85% of exports in Telangana state come from Medchal Malkajgiri, Hyderabad Sangareddy,Rangareddy and Medak districts. The state government is granting permissions only after clearance from the environment and forest departments.
The newly proposed Pharma city in Sangareddy is coming up on over 14,000 acres with an investment of Rs. 64,000 crores is expected to generate nearly 4.2 lakhs jobs.
Medicines occupy the top position in exports from Telangana state. Between 2015-2021, medicines worth Rs. 21,562 crore were exported. The biggest exclusive medical devices park is coming up at Sangareddy and nearly 50 companies are likely to invest Rs. 839 crores and are expected to generate 5,465 new jobs.
True to its promise and commitment of Industries minister Mr KTR’s personnel efforts, Telangana has become a major destination for investments. They resulted in turning the Hyderabad city into a global city and a haven for educated unemployed youth. Thanks to visionary chief minister KCR who is determined to put Telangana on a high pedestal come what may.
