A swank 24-storey Command and Control Centre twin towers with a helipad on top, around 4 lakh square feet of office space, a roof top solar system and each of the tower with green energy concept and a parking place for over 600 vehicles!
Sounds incredible? But if everything goes as planned, then one may see these icnonic buildings come up in the upscale Banjara Hills area in the next few years.The State government on Saturday approved the design of a 24-storeyed Command and Control Centre (CCC) building that will come up in Banjara Hills in the city for the Police Department.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao approved the designs of CCC building. “This building will become an icon for Hyderabad,” Rao said. The CCC building will be constructed on a eight acre land, which was allotted for the construction of city police commissionerate in Banjara Hills.
The CCC building will have two towers. One tower will be 16-storeyed and another 24-storeyed. A bridge will connect these two towers.
The total office space available will be around four lakh sq feet. A helipad will be constructed on the top of the twin towers. The towers will have roof-top-solar system. The top of the tower will be constructed with green energy concept.
A special lounge will be provided for visitors under the twin towers. The main hall of the CCC will be located on the fourth floor. An auditorium with 1,000-seating capacity, video walls, and landscaping will be other attractions of the twin towers. Parking slot will be provided for 600 vehicles.
Chief Minister Rao directed Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma to plan what other facilities should be provided in the building and give a final shape to the building.
A team consisting of Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma, Commissioiner M Mahender Reddy will give final touches to the building. Later, the State government will call for tenders.
The CCC building which will be located in Hyderabad police commissionerate limits will supervise the law and order situation of Hyderabad and also in Telangana state.
The State government which proposed to install one lakh CCTV cameras will also be linked up with the CCC building. Likewise, all the district police headquarters in the State too would be linked up with the CCC building, the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister said that when big festivals or any natural calamities occur in the state, not only the police but also the Chief Minister and other officials would be able to monitor the situation from CCC building.
“CCC building will enable the police to monitor everything,” the Chief Minister said. “The government studied the best systems in the world in maintaining the law and order. The best practices will be implemented in CCC building,” the Chief Minister added. “The CCC building will help in smart policing,” Rao said.
