Several speakers who participated in the round table conference “Telangana etlostadi” felt that we canot achieve statehood without burying Congress and TDP. The unanimous opinion expressed by all Telangana activists was that we can achieve the state only through unrelenting agitation.
The speakers gave a rallying cry “Congress ko khatam karo, Telangana ko haasil karo”. They also requested all political and non-political forces to join hands for Telangana. They also opined that if BJP stalls the parliament, then Congress would be forced to take a decision on Telangana.
Several speakers also felt that we should adopt a more stern stand towards parties which are non-committal on Telangana.
The meeting was attended by Telangana JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram, MLC Chukka Ramaiah, BJP Ex-MP Bandaru Dattatreya, TNGO leaders Deviprasad, Srinivas Goud, TJF president Allam Narayana, TDF-India president DP Reddy, MLC Dilip Kumar, Vimalakka, Keshava Rao Jadhav, Retd CE R. Vidyasagar Rao and scores of Telangana activists.
BJP state president Kishan Reddy said that their party is ready to participate in any form of movement in future. He also said that their party would support the “Telangana March” planned for Sept 30th.
The meeting concluded that massive public mobilization should be done for the “Telangana March” on Sept 30th.
