“Telangana agitation is not about creating small states. It is a struggle for justice, and equality” said Prof Kodandaram. He was addressing a meeting held by Democratic Teachers Federation (DTF) at Karimnagar yesterday. He said the movement will intensify with the proposed Telangana March at Hyderabad on 30th September. “This March would be similar to the Tahrir Square protests in Egypt” informed Kodandaram.
He praised the teachers for playing a crucial role in spreading information about statehood to the future citizens of Telangana.
Prof Kodandaram also questioned the intentions of YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma, who is planning to conduct a dharna on weavers issues at Sircilla on 23rd July. He gave a call to people to boycott such insincere protests led by Seemandhra leaders.
