Telangana government is committed to taking up IT to Tier 2 towns, IT Minister KTR.

 

Thanking the NTT Data Business Solutions CEO and MD Mr Sanjeev Deshpande for setting up a centre at Adilabad, the IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao said it was happy news for Adilabad.

He said it was shot in the arm for Telangana state which has been focusing on taking IT to Tier II and Tier III towns. The state government aims at creating 25,000 jobs in these towns by 2026 and building a robust district innovation ecosystem in five regional centres. The Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar were already popular as IT hubs. New technology centers are being set up in Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, and Siddipet towns.

The state government on its part is providing to ready to occupy spaces and offering incentives to private parties choosing to set up their IT offices in Tier II and Tier III towns across Telangana. The government will provide the required infrastructure. It will promote schools, tourism attractions, and shopping malls among others.

The NTT Data is into designing, implementing, and managing SAP solutions for companies and has 30,000 employees across the globe.
