Telangana Association of Greater San Diego(TAGS) organized Grand Celebrations in Greater San Diego to mark the formation of Telangana as 29th state of India in association with TDF, ATA, TATA & SANTA. The event was aptly named ‘Dhoom –Dhaam’ and was set in a Mela environment, attended by well over 500 people. Several passionate volunteers ailing from Telangana state took part in various activities and contributed for the grand success of the event.
The event started with lighting a lamp in memory of Prof. Jayashankar who is considered as father of the Telangana movement. K. Chandra Sekhar Reddy and TDF Members were the other noted guest of honor gracing the event after which payed tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of statehood achievement.
Singers Anjana Sowmya and Phani Vamsi mesmerized the crowd with their joyful and melodious songs. ‘Bathukamma’ ‘Bithiri Sathi’ and other various dance performances were planned and coordinated by TAGS Members. MC’s for the event Swapna and Shwetha energized the audience throught the evening.
Board Members of TAGS- Bhupathi Suppala, Kashappa Nadaram, Pavan Neelakanti, Ram Karne, Srinivas Chilukuri, Sanjeev Dharajula, Gopi, Anil, Satyapal, Venkat Vuppala and Srikanth Meda pledged and reiterated their commitment towards building “Bangaru Telangana”.
