The Telangana government has come out with a prestigious scheme becoming the centre of attraction in the country. From now on, the Bengal Gram from Telangana state will be sold across the country at a cheaper price.
Hyderabad Agricultural Cooperative Association (HACA) Limited has come out with a plan for the purpose. The market price of Bengal gram per kilo is Rs. 90 and the HACA has decided to sell at Rs. 60 per kilo. A bag of 30 kg would be made available in 180 towns in 18 states of the country soon.
In cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai others, about 200 autorickshaws would be hired to distribute dal from Telangana. It would be made available in all the major stores and also on online platforms.
Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy and Union Civil Supplies Secretary Rohit Kumar will jointly launch the programme soon. They will be releasing 30,000 tonnes of Bengal gram at the launch event. HACA has recently been recognised as the central government nodal agency of business at the national level.
