What a success! We have witnessed an extravagant event and TCSS has hit a new milestone in its short history.
Festivals are where boundaries blur, differences disappear and families have fun and frolic. This was precisely what happened at the Bangaru Bathukamma organized by the Telangana Cultural Society Singapore. Not only Teluguites but also Indians from other parts and locals turned up for the event and mingled. Participants matched each other step for step going around the beautifully decorated Bathukammas to the tunes of “Bathukamma Bathukamma Uyyaalo” for few hours.
The beautifully decorated Bathukammas of various sizes reflected the interest and hard work of both women as creators and men as facilitators in making the event a grand success.
Women and kids were enthralled after wining the prizes for best Bathukamma, singer and traditional dress. Sumptuous Prasadam was prepared lovingly and eaten.
This event would not have been a success without the generous support that everyone has provided.
