The Tata Group has promised the Telangana government that it would consider new investment opportunities in the state besides promising to construct a new academic block in the name of its founder at the IIIT campus in Hyderabad.
IT minister K.T. Rama Rao, industries minister Juppally Krishna Rao and IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan called on Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry in Mumbai on Wednesday. Mr Mistry told the ministers that Telangana holds a special place in his heart and the Tata Group was positively inclined to take up new projects in the state in the future.
