T ministers urged to mount pressure on Centre

Hyderabad: TheTelangana JAC chairman Prof.Kodandaram appealed to the Telangana ministers to exert pressure on the Union Government so that the separate state would be conceded within 30-day deadline set by the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. TDP and YSR Congress should also strive for mounting pressure on the Centre in the meantime or else they would face the backlash from the public here, he warned.

Prof. Kodandaram was speaking at the 2013 diary releasing programme of Telangana NGOs held at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium in Public Gardens on Tuesday. Justice B Sudershan Reddy, MLC Chukka Ramaiah, TRS floor leader Etela Rajender, Prof.Haragopal, V Srinivas Goud, C Vittal, Addanki Dayaker and Swamy Goud were some of the prominent personalities’ who took part in the programme.

In his inaugural address, Justice B Sudershan Reddy heaped praises on the Telangana employees. The role of the employees in the separate state stir is unparalleled one, he added.

The retired judge of the Supreme Court suggested the Employees JAC to make public all details about the extent of government lands, Wakf properties, number of lakes and water bodies in Hyderabad when it attained independence in 1948 and the ground reality existing at present. The employees can assign this task to a committee that would be better equipped to handle this issue, he added.

Prof. Chukka Ramaiah observed that slight differences of opinion among political parties supporting statehood was common and one should not be too worried about them. Pointing out that Telangana movement was one of its kind in the whole world, Prof.Haragopal wished that the will power and commitment of the general public in Telangana would defeat the money power of Seemandhra capitalists and politicians ultimately.
