Hitting the campaign trail in the run-up to Warangal Lok Sabha byelection, Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had only one advice to the voters “If you think I am wrong, punish TRS. If the opposition is wrong, punish them.”
‘’Warangal people have always helped the TRS during difficult times. Support us once again at this juncture to strengthen the party and to achieve ‘Bangaru Telangana’. The opposition parties are criticising the government mindlessly,” KCR told the voters.
Addressing his first public meeting at the Arts and Science College ground in Hanamkonda on Tuesday, the CM assured that he would strive for the development of Telanagana state with the same commitment which was shown during the fight for separate state.
“I used to say, during the Telangana movement, that you may stone me to death, if I keep myself out of the path for Telangana state. Now, I promise that I would work for the development of Telangana with the same commitment,” he said.
He announced that all ration card holders belonging to BCs and OCs will be made eligible for Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. The chief minister also promised that TRS would raise the problems faced by cotton farmers in the Parliament.
Alleging that Opposition leaders were levelling baseless allegations, Rao said they were desperate as there was no future for them in Telangana. The TRS government is working for the welfare and development of the state, he asserted.
The chief minister vowed that he would not seek votes in the next elections if water is not provided to all houses under the water grid scheme. Claiming that they had lifted the state out of the power crisis, he said that by 2018 there will be no power cuts.
Rao said he would provide irrigation facility for two crops in Warangal by constructing Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project.
