The Telangana state IT minister Mr KTR took exception to the claims by BJP on Jal Jeevan mission.
It is false to say it is providing tap water to 54 lakh households. It is the Telangana government’s Mission Bhagiratha programme that is brainchild of Chief Minister Mr KCR which was copied by the BJP-led Government at centre.
Several union ministers appreciated the efforts of Telangana government in trying to provide safe drinking water to every house. But now shamelessly claiming credit for tap water yo every household.
Though Niti Ayog which lauded Mission Bhagiratha and asked centre to give Rs 19,000 crore to Telangana for the programme, the BJP did not give a single rupee.
Mr KTR advised the BJP to stop false claims and bad propaganda.
