Key statistics of the Telangana Industries department’s annual report

 

Industries Minister Mr KTR releases the Department’s Annual Report.

The highlights of the report include;
Telangana through TS-iPASS attracted INR 17,867 Crores of investment in FY 2021-22 through 3938 new industries and created employment for 96,863 people. It attracted cumulative investments of Rs.2,32,311 Cr. creating 16.48 lakh jobs
TSIIC developed 13 new Industrial Parks, allotted 810 acres of land to 526 industries with an expected investment of Rs. 6,123 Crores and employment of 5626 during FY2021-22
Life Sciences and Pharma – sector attracted 215 investment proposals in 2021-22 worth Rs. 6,400 Crores, with a proposed employment of 34,000. The new investments are almost 200% more than the previous year
Ivanhoe Cambridge, Canada announced its entry in Genome Valley through MN park with an investment of USD 100 Mn for creation of about 1 Mn sft lab-space
Syngene International, a leading CRO is expanding its operations in the cluster
Yapan Bio witnessed investment from Piramal Pharma of more than INR 100 crores to continue their expansion in the genome valley cluster
Companies like Porus Life Sciences, CVR Life Sciences, Dandu Bio Sciences and Laurus Synthesis are investing around Rs. 500 crores cumulatively in the Genome Valley cluster
First facility of Jamp Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. was inaugurated outside Canada in Genome Valley
S3V Vascular Technologies is investing Rs. 250 Cr in Medical Devices Park to manufacture high-end neuro and cardiac medical devices. The proposed facility will generate 500 direct and 250 indirect employment opportunities
Food Processing – Telangana state food processing policy was approved with an objective to encourage creation of food processing enterprises across 10,000 acres of special food processing zones. Micro food processing enterprises are being promoted with One District One Product (ODOP) approach. 6,311 SHG members (through SERP) received Rs. 40,000 seed capital to establish micro enterprises under PMFME scheme. 4,575 existing enterprises have been shortlisted for upgradation
Amul is setting up a state-of-the-art plant with an investment of INR 300 Cr. in Phase-1 and 200 Cr. in Phase-2 creating employment for 500 people
Mars Petcare is investing Rs. 500 Cr. to triple their capacity in Telangana
Fishin’ Company is investing Rs 1,000 Crores. The firm will set up a fully integrated freshwater fish culture ecosystem at the Mid Manair Reservoir in Rajanna Sircilla District, generating direct employment for 3,000 and indirect employment for 2,000
Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages is setting up a state-of-the-art plant at Bandathimmapur park, Siddipet with an investment of Rs. 1000 Cr.
Aerospace and Defence- Telangana won the Best State Award from Ministry of Civil Aviation, consecutively for the third time in a row (2018, 2020, 2022), for being the Indian State with the most forward outlook towards Aerospace and Aviation sector
VEM Technologies announced an integrated missile complex in Sangareddy with an investment of Rs 1000 Cr and projected employment for 2000
Rolls Royce group’s Spanish aerospace subsidiary ITP Aero inaugurated its new factory in Hyderabad
Automotive Sector – Govt. of Telangana launched the Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Systems policy in Sept 2020, post which Govt. has signed up with many domestic and international companies and the total projected investment figure is upwards of INR 5000Cr., generating direct employment for about 8000 people over the next few years
Triton EV is investing Rs. 2100 Cr. to establish an ultra-modern EV manufacturing unit at NIMZ Zaheerabad, Sangareddy with direct employment to 2000 people
Liteauto GmbH, a German company will invest Rs. 1500 Cr. in Telangana to set up an advanced design and manufacturing facility. The new plant will provide direct employment to 9,000 people and indirect employment to twice that number
One Moto has earmarked Rs. 250 Cr. to set up its first production plant in the country. The plant will create almost 500 direct and 2000 indirect jobs in the state
Hyderabad-based EV maker Grafton Motors, which developed an electric bike under the brand Quanta, is setting up a greenfield unit in Telangana with an investment of Rs. 150 Cr. by the end of 2022, with a potential to create about 3,000 direct and indirect jobs in the State in the next two years
The Madras Rubber Factory (MRF) will invest Rs. 1000 Cr. to not only expand its existing facility but also to create a new specialty assembly line at Sangareddy
Biliti Electric will set up the world’s largest electric 3-wheeler factory in Telangana. The California-based company will set up the factory with a production capacity of 2.4 lakh EVs each year. The new plant is estimated to drive private investment of Rs. 1147 Cr. and expected to create 3000 jobs
Textiles – Nethannaku Cheyutha scheme -So far, Rs. 96.43 Cr has been disbursed to the accounts of 20,537 Weaver beneficiaries. Chenetha Mitra scheme- Till date Rs 21.67 Cr subsidy has been released directly into the bank accounts of 20,135 beneficiaries
Welspun’s commissioned its 2nd investment in Chandanvelly of Rs. 345 Cr.
Kundana Techno Tex commissioned its PET recycling unit at Chandanvelly with an initial investment of Rs. 100 Cr and employing about 150 people
Kitex Garments Ltd. is setting up an integrated fibre to apparel manufacturing clusters in Warangal (KMTP) and Rangareddy (Sitarampur) Districts. Kitex will invest a total of Rs. 2400 Cr. over 3 years. The integrated clusters will generate a direct employment for 22,000 people, 85% women
Government signed investment MoUs with 3 leading jute manufacturing groups viz. Gloster Ltd., MBG Commodities and Kaleshwaram Agro to set up modern integrated jute mills in Telangana with a total investment of Rs. 887 Cr creating direct employment of 10,448 people
Logistics Sector- Govt. of Telangana launched the Logistics policy 2021-26 with an aim to provide international market to Agri & Industrial goods. The policy will attract Rs. 10,000 Crores worth of investments and generate 3 lakh employment in the sector
Toys Sector – To end India’s dependency on Chinese toys, Telangana Government is developing a ‘Telangana Toy Park’ on 100 acres land at Dandumalkapur, Choutuppal (M), Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District
MSME – Department signed MoUs with NSE, Just Dial, BharatCall and SIDBI for providing access to finance through listing on NSE Emerge, increase ease of doing online business and support MSMEs through SIDBI PMU team on initiatives. Made in Telangana online mall launched to provide commission-free services to State sellers and MSMEs. TS-GlobalLinker continued to provide online free services such as free e-commerce stores, advisory services etc. to the 10,000+ MSMEs registered from Telangana State
TSTPC has achieved a turnover of Rs. 24.25 Crores during FY 2021-22 in supply of Golconda stationary to govt welfare depts. and open market
Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad (RICH) started AID program which is a multi-stakeholder alliance to identify and nurture the best startups in the diagnostics space across the country. RICH along with Cyient and Xynteo founded the Project Tej initiative, which aims to enable entrepreneurs to test their innovative products / services in the field of medical technologies. Under NeGPA, RICH was awarded the project to demonstrate emerging technology solutions for the following farm challenges in Telangana. With the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology and Atal Incubation Centre, RICH has been a part of the Hyderabad Reagent Consortium. This consortium brought together a national-level collaboration between the Hyderabad, Pune, and Bengaluru Science and Technology Clusters.
Telangana Industrial Health Clinic Limited (TIHCL) in FY 2021-22 handled 416 enquiries and resolved 376 cases without financial intervention. They funded 40 units and the total value of funding so far is Rs. 539.33 Crores in their 5 years of operation
DEET – Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana is an AI & ML driven job search and recruitment app that connects job seekers and employers through demand, talent, location and behaviors through a mobile app and web portal. During FY 2021-22, DEET team conducted 60+ demonstrations for students with participation of 8,000 students. DEET team conducted 4 Online Job Fairs, hosted a mega job fair event. 2,73,074 total vacancies generated on platform so far. 14,590 jobseekers registered and 340+ companies registered.
