Gross injustice is being done to Telangana state by the Central government in sanctioning pending projects and proposed new railway lines, rued state planning board vice chairman B Vinod Kumar.
He said they have sent 11 new proposals but the railway department kept them pending on some or other pretext. There was no answer on the pending 25 new railway lines as well.
The pending projects in Telangana state include – Karimnagar- Mankondur – Huzurabad and Kazipet; Manchiryala – Adilabad via Utnoor; Manugur – Ramagunda via Bhupalpally; Nandyala – Jadcherla; Koyagudem mines – Tadikalapudi; Bhadrachalam road – Vishakapatnam; Hyderabad – Srisailam via Achampeta; Siddipet – Akkannapet; Washim – Mahor – Adilabad; Patacheru – Sangareddy and Bypass lane at Pagidipalli.
Mr Vinod Kumar said as per the bifurcation Act Sec 13 provisions; the central government should establish the railway coach factory within six months of the formation of the new Telangana state. But to date, nothing came forthwith.
Since the formation of the State, the ruling party public representatives have been submitting the proposals for new railway lines and projects but the BJP government at the Centre is discriminating against Telangana, he said.
