“Achieving Telangana statehood is a true tribute to Prof Jayashankar” said TRS supremo K. Chandra Sekhar Rao. He was inaugurating the statue of the Telangana idealogue at Madina Complex Junction in Karimnagar town.
KCR recounted how Prof Jayashankar laid the first foundations of the Telangana statehood movement way back in 1952. KCR promised that Prof. Jayashankar’s life history would be taught in schools once Telangana is formed.
Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha, TRS MLS Naradasu Laxman Rao were also present at the ceremony.
