State Gets Rs 1,064 cr Investment Under TS-iPASS, to Create 2,988 Jobs

Industries minister Jupally Krishna Rao has approved 16 industries including solar, pharmaceuticals, LPG bottling, beverages, automobile tubes and tyres and other industries as phase-III of sanction under Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TS-iPASS).

The total investment received in the third phase amounts to Rs 1,046 crore and these industries would provide employment for 2,988 persons in the five districts of Medak, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal and Rangareddy. Speaking after handing over the permission letters, Krishna Rao congratulated the industrialists for establishing their units in TS. He said that even in Western countries they take not less than 45 days approximately for providing permissions to industries.

“TS is according permissions in 15 days and is of the view that no industrialist should suffer due to delay in processing of application. Hence we introduced this new industrial policy of self certification,” he added. “Now you are the ambassadors of this policy, you should carry the message of TS’ new industrial policy, nationally and globally,” Krishna Rao appealed to the industrialists. He requested them to provide more employment to locals youths. Venkat Reddy of Genesis said he was surprised and amazed by the coordination between the line departments and the pace at which licenses were issued.

IS Rao from Aurobindo praised the support from the Industries department. Commissioner of Industries Manicka Raj was also present.
