The Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to probe MLAs poaching by the BJP served notice on party’s national general secretary BL Santosh.
It also served notice on advocate Srinivas of Karimnagar. It summoned them to be present for interrogation on November 21.
Meanwhile, BJP state general secretary G Premender Reddy filed an interim petition to stall the notices served on his party leaders.
However the High Court did not agree with him and said if they failed to attend the SIT interrogation they could be arrested. They should not tamper with the evidence and should bring any laptop or telephone containing the material related to the case.
The SIT can arrest them under Sections 41A (3) and 4.
The High Court refused to stay the notices thus making it mandatory for the BJP leader and advocate to attend the SIT probe and cooperate.
