To ease the problems of daily traffic and reduce the time spent in travelling from one point to another in the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to come up with a big budget of Rs.20,000 crore for roads and flyovers.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar while interacting with officials and staff of the civic body said roads and flyovers like the PVNR Elevated Expressway, which could be seamlessly traversed in 10 minutes to 15 minutes time, would be taken up in coming days.
e-office
For fast and transparent service, the civic body has recently introduced the concept of e-office and despite apprehensions in some sections, e-office has been a success and nearly 20,000 files were already taken under it, he said.
The GHMC has constructed a big hall with a capacity to seat 500 to 600 persons at a time for meetings and the facility on the 7 floor would be opened shortly, according to a press release.
