The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Adilabad, was allocated Rs. 150 crore under the Prime Minister Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) for upgradation of the hospital facilities. The funds will see the institute offering super-speciality treatment in some 10 areas, according to Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) State secretary B. Goverdhan Reddy.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the gesture, Mr. Reddy told reporters here on Thursday that the Centre will release Rs. 120 crore while the State will contribute the remaining Rs. 30 crore. He said the funds will ensure super-speciality treatment in cardiology, neuro surgery, nephrology, plastic surgery, medicine oncology etc.
