Rich tributes paid to Prof. Jayashankar

Hundreds of commemoration meetings and programs marked the first death anniversary of Telangana idealogue Prof. Jayashankar. There were poignant moments at many of these meetings, as both the speakers and the audience remembered the moments they spent with their beloved professor.

At a memorial meeting organized in Telangana Bhavan, TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao announced that as soon as Telangana is formed, a district would be named after Prof. Jayashankar. He also promised that Jayashanakar sir’s life story would be made a lesson in text books.

KCR predicted that the time for creating the Telangana state has arrived. He sought to know why the Seemandhra leaders were ‘fearing’ Telangana. He requested the Seemandhra leadership to stop playing dirty tricks and cooperate in state formation. He reminded the inevitability of Telangana state formation and the need for two Telugu states to co-exist harmoniously.

At a separate meeting organized by Telangana Vidyavantula Vedika and Telangana Development Forum, TJAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram, Retd. Supreme Court Justice Sudarshan Reddy, TJAC co-convenor Mallepally Lakshmayya, Prof CH Hanumantha Rao, Pittala Ravinder, HMTV Editor K. Ramachandra Murthy paid rich tributes to Prof. Jayashankar.

TRS MLA K. Taraka Rama Rao and BJP MLA Kishan Reddy attended the memorial meeting organized by Telangana Electricity Employees JAC at Mint compound. TEEJAC chairman Raghu also spoke at the event.

Elsewhere blood donation camps were held by TRSV and other organizations.
