Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video is an insulting act: KTR

Hyderabad: Movie actress Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video affair is causing a lot of outrage across the country. It may be noted that a video related to Zara Patel, a social media influencer, went viral when Rashmika’s face was morphed and posted on social media.

Many celebrities have already reacted to this incident. Widespread concern was expressed over the misuse of technology. In this context, Telangana State IT Minister KTR (Minister KTR) recently responded to this incident

KTR, who participated in a roundtable meeting organised by a national channel, mentioned Rashmika’s morphing video. He described it as a deeply insulting act. He said he saw the actress Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video in the news.

He said that it was a bitter experience. It is really bad to insult a celebrity in this way. If laws are enacted to prevent such incidents, the government is ready to be implemented in Telangana state. The Central government should also focus about such incidents, he hoped.
