Noted RTI activist from Warangal, Rakesh Reddy Dubbudu received the inaugural Shaik Bhasha Memorial Award at Anakapalle yesterday.
Retd IAS officer and environmental activist EAS Sharma handed over the award to Rakesh.
The award included a memento and a cash prize of Rs. 15,000. Rakesh immeidatley handed over the cash back to representative of NAPM (National Alliance of People’s Movements)
Speaking at the occasion, Rakesh said that parents should teach honesty to their children. He expressed anguish about how the students of Intermediate and Engineering are totally ignoring the society around them. Rakesh mentioned how RTI activists are being targeted by corrupt officers and leaders in our country.
