Promises made by BJP to Munugode in 2016 still unfulfilled

As the polling date is fast approaching, promises made by the BJP in the past to develop Munugode are coming to light on social media. In 2016, during his visit to Munugode, the then union health minister and current national president of the BJP – JP Nadda made a slew of promises for the development of Munugode.

Six years since the promises were made but none of them was fulfilled. After interacting with fluoride victims in 2016, Nadda promised to construct a 300-bed hospital in Marriguda and to set up a fluoride research centre in Choutuppal. He also promised to come to the aid of fluoride victims under the social security program.

Though the Telangana government came forward to provide 8.5 acres of land for these developmental works, it appears that the BJP and Nadda forgot about those promises. And for that matter, not just Nadda, even the BJP leaders who had accompanied him back then didn’t visit the constituency later nor bothered about the promises.

The same BJP is now in the hunt for votes in Munugode with a new set of election sops. It is high time people remind them about their unfulfilled promises.
