Political training classes for TRS leaders

A political training camp for elected representatives and important functionaries of Telangana Rashtra Samithi will be held at Nagarjunasagar from May 2 to 4.

Subject experts from Administrative Staff College of India will give lectures on ten subjects for two hours each. The camp will be confined to Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other elected representatives on the first two days while the Zilla Parishad chairmen, Mayors, district party presidents and Assembly constituency in-charges will participate on the third day, sources said.

Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao will lecture on politics and human relations. He will be available on all three days. The other subjects include urban and rural development, agriculture, budget preparation, law and order, forest and industries. Former Chief Election Commissioner J.M. Lyngdoh and noted economist Ch. Hanumantha Rao will be present at the inaugural session.

The Chief Minister conceived the programme to speed up administration involving the party cadre in a bid to achieve the objectives of the government. It was postponed months ago due to unavoidable reasons. Each subject will be discussed for two hours with the experts delivering lectures in the first hour and leaving the floor open to interaction in the second hour.

Sources added that Mr. Rao discussed the details of the programme with his Cabinet colleagues on Tuesday evening when it was decided to hand over the responsibility of arrangements to MLC Palla Rajeswara Reddy as he had successfully conducted the party plenary and public meeting recently. He will be assisted by government representative in New Delhi S. Venugopalachary. Security personnel carried out inspection of the venue on Wednesday.
