A section of sarpanches elected with the support of BJP and Congress sarpanches are trying to disturb the beautiful Palle Pragathi programme.
They are misleading people and trying to stall the programme. No sarpanch died of debts incurred in developing the village. The state cleared all the bills and recently released Rs 166 crore.
Mr Dayakar Rao said Telangana government was to get Rs 1400 crore under MNREGS from the centre. But they are giving for last four months. The state government sent officials to Delhi and he would also go to Delhi on the issue of pending bills.
The bills pertaining to laying of cement roads in villages are pending in some cases and the state government assured them that they would be cleared in a few days.
Mr Dayakar Rao lashed out at a group of sarpanches for resorting to bad propaganda and trying to stall the most useful programme.
After the launch of Palle Pragathi, the villages became clean and green. Some with the help of BJP and Congress are trying to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Mr KCR and his government. But they will not succeed in their attempts.
Referring to suicide of a sarpanch in Jangaon district the minister clarified that he got the report from officials. It was due to family problems he committed suicide not because of pending bills.
