One cannot domesticate a venomous snake: CM KCR

Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao came down heavily upon a section of the media for spitting venom on the ruling party and its leaders daily. In response to a question as to why the party was not inviting journalists from certain newspapers and television channels, Mr KCR said at a time when the whole world is heaping praises on the BRS government for its achievements, a section of media is misleading the people with unfounded accusations.

It is the NITI Aayog and RBI that are on record ranking the Telangana state top on several parameters. The Union Ministers went on record in Parliament several times praising the Telangana government for its excellent work in various fields.

Mr KCR was addressing a press conference on Monday at Telangana Bhavan where he released the list of his party candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections. However, some newspapers and TV channels made it their duty to criticise the BRS government sneaking to find non-existent failures. They are kept away as they cannot view this government and its achievements unbiasedly. “One cannot rear a venomous snake. How can we entertain such elements?” Mr KCR sought to know.

KCR said that long ago he mentioned there were papers and channels which work on an itch and work for their caste interests. “Sorry to say, we cannot allow them. We keep them away,” he asserted. It is not journalism and those working in them cannot be termed as journalists. Newspapers and Channels became ‘views papers and views channels’ hiding the truth, he added.
