TRS NRI coordinator Mr Mahesh Bigala met the IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao and discussed the NRIs role in the implementation of Mana Ooru – Mana Badi, another prestigious programme launched by the ruling TRS government.
The chief minister Mr K Chandrashekar Rao mooted the idea and came up with the programme to change the very face of government schools in the state. As part of it, schools will be overhauled thoroughly adding new infrastructure totally.
It was decided to hold a zoom meeting with the NRIs soon and seek their cooperation in the development of schools in places where their hail from. They would be asked to adopt the schools in their respective villages and be part of the programme.
Mr K T Rama Rao said with the introduction of the English medium in government schools, the rural poor will be able to compete in any examination at the state, national and global level.
Mr Mahesh Bigala thanked the chief minister Mr KCR, IT minister Mr KTR and Education minister Ms Sabitha Indra Reddy and also invited them to be part of the zoom meeting.
