New vehicles flagged off at different police stations

Energy Minister G. Jagadishwar Reddy said that people friendly policing is the need of the hour.

Addressing the gathering after launching new police vehicles here on Wednesday, he said Telangana government was ready to provide all facilities at police stations, but the government needs an improved performance from them.

Mr. Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao wanted to see friendly environment on the premises of police stations where people would never fear to walk in to lodge complaints about the issues being faced by them.

The Minister has launched 71 new vehicles. ZPTC, Chairman, Balu Nayak, Superintendent of Police, T. Prabhakar Rao, MLA, Gongidi Sunitha , MLC, Pula Ravindar and others were present.

Adilabad MP G. Nagesh on Wednesday flagged off 19 new jeeps allocated to different police stations in Adilabad and Utnoor Sub Divisions.

At Nirmal, Housing and Endowment Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy handed over the keys of 29 jeeps to SIs taking the total number of vehicles released to 73. On Tuesday, R&B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao had flagged off 35 jeeps at Bellampalli. Superintendent of Police Tarun Joshi said as many as 39 police stations used to function without a vehicle. The jeeps were taken around in town in a rally.
