Minister Mr KTR launches development works worth Rs 61 crore in Begumpet.

The Municipal Administration minister Mr K T Rama Rao laid the foundation stone for the development works worth Rs 61 crore in Begumpet here on Saturday.

Accompanied by Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav, Mr K T Rama Rao laid the foundation for the bridge works over Patni drain worth RS 10 crore and later laid the foundation stone for a multi-purpose function hall worth rupees six crore at Patigadda.

Under the SNDP, the minister launched works for the development of Begumpet nala at Allamthota Bavi, Brahmanawadi costing Rs 45 crore.

Addressing the gathering at Patigadda, Mr Rama Rao said the local MLA and minister Mr Srinivas Yadav remains at the forefront in implementing both welfare and development programmes of the state government. With a view to helping the poor conduct functions, about 1200 square of land belonging to Roads & Buildings department was transferred to GHMC to construct the multi-purpose function hall. The people in the locality can utilise the hall paying a nominal fee.

Mayor G Vijayalaxmi, MLC S Vani Devi, deputy mayor M Srilatha and other leaders were present.
