BRS working president and minister Mr KT Rama Rao shot a series of questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is due to visit Mahabubnagar this week. Mr Rama Rao sought to know why the centre is refusing to accord national status to the Palamuru Rangareddy project when it gave the same to Upper Bhadra in Karnataka. Why is the centre delaying finalising the Krishna River water share between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh?
“Why so much vengeance on Telangana? What happened to your promises?” he sought to hear from the prime minister. Palamuru was destroyed by the BJP and Congress parties and people were left to their fate. Mr Modi said Telangana would get 575 TMC of Krishna river water but did not fulfil it.
Why is Mr Modi and his party leaders spitting so much venom on Telangana? he wondered.
Mr Rama Rao inaugurated scores of development works in Wanaparthy on Friday accompanied by Minister S Niranjan Reddy and others. He lashed out at the BJP leaders terming their attitude towards Telangana as cheap and detesting.
Addressing the impressive crowds, the BRS leader explained to people how the BJP had been denying the due share in funds and development to the state of Telangana. The same party and its leaders are now seeking the votes of people here. They should be rejected.
People should question the BJP leaders who are coming to seek votes. They should ask about the Krishna water share and the national status of the Palamuru project. The BRS leader called people to vote en masse for BRS in the next election so that it would play an important role in the formation of the next government at the centre. Then the party could be in a better bargaining position with the centre.
