To give a major facelift to the state-run schools in Telangana and equip them with modern facilities, the Telangana government has undertaken the ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Badi’ program. The schools developed in the first phase are ready for re-opening on February 1.
As many as 1200 schools will be inaugurated with a corporate look. All the schools developed under the program will get 12 types of ultra-modern facilities matching the standards of corporate schools.
In addition to renovated facilities, adorned with bright colours and beautiful pictures, the government schools in villages are now looking attractive. The government has made a commitment to revamp 26,055 government schools in a span of three years. Already, an amount of Rs. 3,497 crores was sanctioned for 9,123 schools.
