Lanco Hills booked for dumping debris

HYDERABAD: Based on a complaint lodged by revenue officials on Wednesday, the Raidurgam police registered criminal cases against the management of Lanco Hills for dumping debris at government land in Manikonda.

Rajendranagar tahsildar Muthyam Reddy lodged the complaint with the police alleging that the management of Lanco Hills has been illegally dumping construction debris at the government land located near their real-estate venture in Manikonda and requested police to take appropriate legal action.

The complainant also stated that 15 days ago, he had issued a notice to Lanco Hills asking them to clear the debris.

“As the Lanco Hills management did not respond to his notice, the tahsildar lodged a complaint with us,” Raidurgam inspector A Balakoti said.

Police have registered cases against Lanco Hills management under sections 427 (Mischief and causing damage to the property) and 447 (Criminal trespass) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). [Times of India]
