The arrest of TJAC and TRS leaders during the ‘Sadak Bandh’ on Thursday rocked the Assembly on Friday with the TRS legislators stalling the proceedings.
The Assembly was adjourned for the day after repeated adjournments. The TRS MLAs demanded immediate release of their leaders.
In the morning, the TRS MLAs attended the house wearing black T-shirts and pink ‘kanduvas’. They carried placards condemning the illegal arrests and raised slogans in favour of Telangana and against the state government.
TRS MLAs rushed to Speaker’s podium after he rejected their adjournment motion on the arrests.
TRS MLA Harish Rao and independent MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy criticized the state government for trying to suppress the popular peoples’ movement by foisting false cases.
