Munugode is the buzzword now in the political circles of Telangana. Munugode bypoll, touted as a semi-final before the Telangana assembly elections, is witnessing a high-octane campaign with candidates from three major parties and their key leaders touring the segment.
The political heat in the constituency is slowly reaching its crescendo with the speeches made by the likes of minister KT Rama Rao. The very presence of the TRS working president has enthused the rank and file of the party. With his fiery speeches targeting the opposition, KTR has set the tone right for the TRS campaign.
The minister, who already threw a challenge at the BJP that the TRS will withdraw from the contest if PM Narendra Modi gives Rs. 18,000 cr for the development of Nalgonda, has now vowed to adopt Munugode. This promise will boost the already upbeat morale of the TRS cadre and further improves the prospects of the party in the ensuing bypoll.
KTR, who attended the TRS nominee’s nomination rally, also had lunch with a fluoride victim in his house. With the entry of KTR in the Munugode, the TRS is poised well ahead in winning the seat back from the opposition’s fold.
