IT minister KT Rama Rao invited Taiwan-based FIH mobile manufacturing company to open their shop in Hyderabad.
Rama Rao, who was on a trip to Taiwan called on FIH Mobile CEO WH Tong and invited the company to start their mobile manufacturing industry in Hyderabad. Responding to this request, Tong assured Rama Rao that he would soon send a team to Hyderabad to explore the possibility of starting their unit. FIH Mobiles belongs to Foxconn Group, which supplies spare parts to various mobile manufacturing companies including Apple.
If the biggest electronics company Foxconn established its unit in Hyderabad, the industrial scenario of Telangana would be completely changed, Rama Rao said.
During his second day tour in Taiwan, Rama Rao also met Theodore Huang, chairman of TECO group, a 40 billion USD enterprise.
Rama Rao also called on Shih-Chao Cho, deputy minister of economic affairs, and invited him to lead a delegation of investors to Telangana.
Rama Rao explained them about the conducive atmosphere created for new industries in Telangana. He explained the advantages for setting up of industries in the state.
